Guru’s Blessings through Daya Mataji

Friday, April 24th, 2009

Dear devotee friends,

My name is Hector Duvidovich, I am a long term Brazilian devotee and I will try to share with you a wonderful experience of instantaneous healing that I experienced in the year 1980.

At those days I was living with a small group of SRF devotees in a little farm at the Brazilian rainy forest, Minas Gerais state, about 30 miles far from the nearest town by walking road, this means a one day hard trekking distance from doctors and hospitals.

We were a young and enthusiastic group of friends living in a sort of alternative community making our living from our incense factory and manufactured herbs pillows, meditating and chanting together at five o’clock every morning and again at sunsets. Certainly we all had very happy times up there.

During that winter season the weather used to be very cold and humid so in one of those dawns I awaked in the dark (no electric energy available) with a very severe asthma attack suddenly I found myself fighting desperately for the next breath, very few air reaching my lungs and feeling that those were my last minutes in earth.

At that moment everybody in house came near my bed to try to help me but we didn’t have any medicine for that heavy condition so most of us(principally me) enter in state of panic.

In the middle of this terrible moment I asked for somebody read one of SRF lessons for me. In the very instant that one of my friends started reading something marvelous happened:

I felt very clearly the holly presence of beloved SRI DAYA MATA in the room (I just had met her in SRF convocation of current year). With tears on my face I asked her loudly if she could do something in my care (now I have tears again)…and I still hear her sweet voice telling me: YES, I DO!

So I asked one more time if she really wanted to heal me (since I didn´t know if I deserve that grace). At the following second, just one second, all my asthma attack disappeared absolutely with any trace and I have to tell you never again I suffered from this sickness.

For sure I don’t need to tell you the enormous surprise stamped on the faces of each fellow around my bed since all of us were fearing the worst because impossibility to reach medicines and doctors in time.

So my dear friends, all of us in that old group were deeply touched by this extraordinary healing experience.

Visit to Ranchi Ashram

Jai Guru!

Greetings and Love to all !!

I went to the YSS Ranchi Ashram recently with my small family, and we had a wonderful time there. Guruji was pouring out His blessings to us. So much Joy and Peace!
After five days we did not want to go back, but alas! the world will not let us have our way. My work and my son’s school (still on) forced us  to leave Ranchi. I took many photos please view under photo album category or by clicking on the link below.

Little Gifts Grow Large

Sunday, April 12th, 2009

Since I have become an SRF devotee, I have noticed that my life seems bursting with little gifts. Sometimes they are so delicate that one could easily overlook them but regular meditation sensitizes one.

For instance, the other day I was inwardly mourning the disappearance of some garden birds as I began my daily energization exercises. Almost as the thought arose, a beautiful thrush (one of the birds I mourned) flew down to a cherry tree branch just in front of me, and perched there for a blessed moment. Thank you Guruji.

Last week I suddenly thought I should get my car tyres checked, something I never usually do. The garage mechanic told me that one of the rear tyres was shredded and could have blown at any moment. Thank you blessed Guruji once again. And again. And again.

It really isn’t necessary to ask for great miraculous ‘proof’ of God and Guru’s constant love and care. If you sharpen your awareness you will see their blessed presence all around you - and within you.

May God and Guru bless all who read this.

No Repentance

Sunday, April 12th, 2009

When Death will come & Laugh &  Call,
“Now it’s the  time for you to stall”!

I won’t cry wont fear won’t say “No”,
For I’ve finished acting in this worldly show.

Of all those sorrows, pleasures & pains,
Laughs & cries &  plannings in vain,

Were mere the act of a few worldly hours,
Where praises & blames , names & fames,
Are  thrown into oblivion as soon as
The curtain lowers.

So I won’t repent, won’t fear won’t say “No”.
While every one cries, I will  Smile & Go.

For this is what my beloved Guru my Friend
Through all His wisdom, love and cares
Has taught me &, trained me for all these years
To be able to watch this motion picture
Just as a watcher from beginning to end.

Niagara

I saw you at Niagara meditating calmly,
Amidst the rush of water and the din of the fall, you seem to be unperturbed.
With poise and serenity you meditate and I stare awfully.
Touching your feet, I feel the current, Touching your fingers, I feel the grip,
Encircling around you, I venerate.

I sit beside you with my gaze fixed on you,
I sit to meditate with you but my little mind goes places instantly.
As I see and hear the Niagara, I feel sense of peace.
You seem to be steadfast and I in awe being with you….

Words don’t express my love,
Actions don’t express it either.
For this love is difficult to find…
But my thought and feelings do it all.

NEXT, I meet you at Niagara,
O Krishna! Bless me!
Bless me to rise above this materialistic world,
Conquer my enemies and regain my lost kingdom of peace.

Kriya Yoga - The Airplane Route

Friday, April 3rd, 2009

The quickest and most effective approach to the goal of Yoga employs those methods of meditation that deal directly with energy and consciousness. It is this direct approach that characterizes the particular system of meditation taught by Paramahansa Yogananda. Specifically, Kriya is an advanced Raja Yoga technique that reinforces and revitalizes subtle currents of life energy in the body, enabling the normal activities of heart and lungs to slow down naturally. As a result, the consciousness is drawn to higher levels of perception, gradually bringing about an inner awakening more blissful and more deeply satisfying than any of the experiences that the mind or the senses or the ordinary human emotions can give. All scriptures declare man to be not a corruptible body, but a living soul. The ancient science of Kriya Yoga reveals a way to prove this scriptural truth. Referring to the sure and methodical efficacy of devoted practice of the Kriya science, Paramahansa Yogananda declared: “It works like mathematics; it cannot fail.”

Autobiography of a Yogi - Yogodan’s Bible

Friday, April 3rd, 2009

Autobiography of a Yogi is an absorbing account of a singular search for Truth, interwoven with scientific explanations of the subtle but definite laws by which yogis perform miracles and attain self-mastery. Sri Sri Paramhansa Yogananda recounts his ten years of spiritual training under his God Realized Guru Sri Sri Swami Yukteswar Giri, and his visits withexceptional personages of East and West - including Ananda Moyi Ma; Mahatma Gandhi; Master Mahasaya; the saintly disciple of Ramakrishna Paramahansa; Rabindranath Tagore; Ramana Maharishi; Luther Burbank; and Therese Neumann, the Catholic stigmatist.

Dispelling many misconceptions about Indian philosophy and religion, this book provides an excellent introduction to the whole science of yoga. Since its publication in 1946, Autobiography of a Yogi has become a classic in its field, revealing the underlying unity of the great religious paths of both East and West.

Autobiography of a Yogi is at once a beautifully written account of an exceptional life and a profound introduction to the ancient science of Yoga and its time-honoured tradition of meditation. The author clearly explains the subtle but definite laws behind both the ordinary events of everyday lie and the extraordinary events commonly termed miracles. His absorbing life story thus becomes the background for a penetrating and unforgettable look at the ultimate mysteries of human existence.

Yogoda Satsanga Society of India has published Autobiography of a Yogi, written by its Founder, in the following 12 languages: English, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
